The why
Re/Casetify. Casetify's recycled-plastic line. Cases made from recycled phone cases and other post-consumer plastic. The recycled framing is real (waste diverted from landfill via take-back) but the dermal exposure framework still applies: recycled polycarbonate still carries BPA residuals and the recycled stream may include unknown additive chemistry (Bessa 2023 ES&T on brominated flame retardant skin transfer; NSF on BPA migration from polycarbonate). No B Corp or Climate Neutral certifications, no PFAS-free testing published. Score 3-4 reflects the recycled-content credit pulling the floor down by one notch versus standard Casetify but the polycarbonate dermal exposure profile remaining intact. Ingredients verified 05 2026.
